As part of the wider EU campaign “For Diversity. Against Discrimination” a Diversity Day event was organised in Athens so as to raise awareness amongst the public and media on the issues of discrimination and the benefits of a diverse society. The event aimed to inform about the existence of EU and national laws protecting EU citizens from discrimination on the grounds of racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation, age and gender.
