The overall objective of this project is to promote new energy technologies and enhance the technology co-operation between the EU and Russia through the establishment of the EU-Russia Energy Dialogue Technology Centre (TC) based in Moscow. The TC was established as an initiative identifed within the framework of the on-going EU-Russia Energy Dialogue. Its objectives are to promote new and advanced energy technologies and faciliate the attraction of investment financing for priority projects in the energy sector in Russia. The TC also aims to contribute towards the greater policy objectives of the EU-Russia Energy Dialogue which call for the enhancement of energy safety and security in particular through the harmonisation of technical norms and standards, as well as the reinforcement of maintenance practices in the energy sector. The TC focuses on technologies in the sectors of oil and gas ; electricity ; coal ; renewable energy ; energy efficiency.
